Brenda was born to a musical family. Her music adventure started at the age of three when her parents discovered her musical talent and allowed her to study with a well-known Professor for Piano.
Teaching Music and working with children is Brenda’s passion! Brenda always enjoys exploring creative ways to enriching her students’ musical journey. With over 30 years of teaching experience, Brenda has developed a substantial curriculum that allows students to learn piano easily and professionally in a fun environment. Her students actively participate in recitals, music festivals and exams. Her top students have been prizewinners in music competitions.
Brenda is an active member of the MTAC. A devoted teacher and lifelong learner! She frequently attends workshops and conferences, actively connects with fellow piano teachers through professional groups and beyond.
Professionally she has taught Piano for several years at the University, performed as a soloist and ensemble member, and also worked to accompany some of the leading ballet schools in China. She successfully operates her own Piano Studio for over 25 years.
She holds a Bachelor of Music degree in Piano Performance with an emphasis in Pedagogy from BeiJing Normal University, China, where she graduate with honors. Additionally, she graduated from DeAnza College in Cupertino, CA, with a certificate in Child Development.
